Legendary choreographer Saroj K🐟han died of cardia🌊c arrest on Friday morning in Mumbai. She was 72 years old.
Saroj was admitted to Guru Nanak Hospital in Bandra East after complaining of breathing difficulties on June 20. “She passed away due to cardiac arrest at around 2.30 am at the hospital,” her nephew Manish Jagwani told PTI.
Saroj’s funeral took place at a cemetery in suburban Malad. “We buried her at around 7 am. The prayer meeting will be held after three days,” her daughter Sukaina told the news agency.
In a career spanning over four decades, Saroj choreographed more than 2,000 s꧂ongs. Her best work was with Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit.
“Ek Do Teen” in “Tezaab”, “Tamma Tamma Loge” in “Thanedar”, “Dhak Dhak Karne Laga” in “Beta” and “Dola Re Dola” in “Devdas” are some of Saroj’s hit numbers with Madhuri. She last choreographed “Tabaah Hogaye” featuring Madhuri in Kalank, which was released in April last year.
Meanwhile, not only the film 💞fraternity but also Indian star cricketer Suresh Raina mourned🍌 her demise.
“We have lost such a prominent choreographer #Sarojkhan ji. It’s such a huge loss of a creative mind that contributed so much with her art! May her soul Rest in Peace Folded hands .. Om Shanti,” tweeted Raina.

Also, former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif took to 🌺Twitter to pay tribute to the legendary choreographer.
“Saddened to hear about the demise of legendary choreographer Saroj Khan ji. Her contribution to the Indian cinema is unparalleled—choreographed nearly 2000 songs in a career spanning four decades. Condolences to the family & loved ones. #RIP Saroj hi,” he wrote.
