India cricketer S.Sreesanth has a pretty inspiring story regarding his comeback in cricket. He suffered a 7-year ban for spot-fixing. Now his ban is ending in the coming September, and he has also been picked in Kerala’s Ranji team.
Sreesanth is enormously excited and is looking forward to getting back on the field. Another important thing is that Sree will also be eligible to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL)൲ from where it all started. The right-arm pacer last appeared in the lucrative league during the 2013 edition.
Sreesanth was playing for the Rajasthan Royals under Rahul Dravid. During the same season, he was accused of spot-fixing. The Kothamangalam-born has also played for Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Kochi Tuskers Kerala ജand has overall picked 40 wickets in 44 matches.
But what is Sreesanth’s choice if he gets to play in the next season of IPL? Well, the speedster has revealed it during a chat on an Instagram live session with CricTracker. Sreesanth said that he wants to play for the Mumbai Indians (MI) due to his love and respect for legendary Sachin Tendulkar.
“Obviously I will put my name in IPL 2021 Auction. I will play for whatever team I get picked. But, as a cricket fan, it’s Men In Blue Mumbai Indians, because of Sachin Paaji, I played cricket to meet Sachin Tendulkar. If I get an opportunity to play for Mumbai Indians, why not, it will be a great thing to learn from Sachin paji from the dressing room,” the 37-year-old said.
Sreesanth also expressed his desire to play under MS Dhoni as well as ꧑Virat Kohli in the cash-rich league.
“Even in this season some foreign players might not play, and more Indians might be picked in the squads, then I have a chance to play. Also, I would love to play under Dhoni bhai or RCB as well,” concluded Sreesanth.
