After the incredible show in the third match of ‘raise the bat’ Test series against West Indies, England’s Stuart Broad has progressed seven places t🗹o reach the third position among bowlers in the latest ICC Player Rankings. England won the final game by 269 runs to clinch the three-match Test sꦕeries 2-1.
Broad exhibited outstanding bowling in the third Test at Manchester and finished with remarkable figures of 10 for 67. During the contest, the Nottingham-born speedster also reached the milestone of 500 Test wickets. 🍒Broad became the second Englishman and seventh overall bowler to enter the elite club.
The 34-year-old also showed his skills with the willow when he smashed a quick-fire 62 off 45 balls in the first innings of the third Test. It helped him t🀅o gain seven among all-rounders to reach the 11th spot.
Apart from Broad, Chris Woakes, who claimed a five-wicket haul in the second innings, reached 20t🔯h position and attained a career-best rating points tally of 654.
When it comes to English batters, opꦺener Rory Burns jumped 13 places to reach 17th position after scores of 57 and 90 at the Old Trafford. Whereas, Ollie Pope, who slammed 91 in the second innings, reached a c🐓areer-best 46th position.
For the West Indies, Shai Hope has earned two spots to reach 68th position while pacer Kemar Roach has moved to 15th place after seizing a four-wicket haul in England’s first innings.
Indian cricketers, on the other hand, who have not entered into the field since March, retained their positions in the top-10 of batsmen rankings. Captain Virat Kohli holds his second spot while Cheteshwar Pujara and Aj🍰i💦nkya Rahane remain at seventh and ninth respectively.
While, amongst the all-rounders, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwi🌳n occupy the third and fifth spots respectively.
