Ever since leading India to U-19 World Cup triumph in 2018, Prithvi Shaw has been making waves in the cricketing world as the youngster is already touted as the next-big-thing for Team Inღdia. Coming from Mumbai, a city with a 𝕴vast history of producing some of the most exceptional batting talents of the game, Prithvi Shaw is the latest offering deemed as too talented to fail.
In a recent conversation with Aakash Chopra on his YouTube channel, former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer heaped praise on Shaw and even compared his♐ batting ability to an explosive opener Virender Sehwag.
“I think he is a special player, without a doubt. The shots he hits, if he gets going, he has the ability of Virender Sehwag I feel,” said Jaffer
The Mumbai-🐽based cricketer also talked about certain areas wher🌸e Shaw needs to improve.
“He can completely demolish an attack. But somewhere I feel he needs to understand his game better, where he needs to take a backseat. I feel he got found out a little bit in New Zealand, got dismissed two times off a short delivery. He fell into their trap.”
Shaw made a terrific century in his debut Test against West Indies in 2018. His 134-run-knock was full of aesthetically pleasing and technically perfect shots that made hi💝m look way beyond his age.
Shaw was all set to entertain the fans while playꦡing for Dಞelhi Capitals (DC) in the 13th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL), originally slated to begin from March 29. However, the pandemic caused by COVD-19 has led to the suspension of the cash-rich league for an indefinite period.
Meanwhile, Jaffer, after playing 260 first-claꦏss games and 🦄31 Tests for India, bid goodbye to his 24-years long professional career on March 7 this year.
