Former Indian opener Chetan Chauhan, on Friday, was diagnosed COVID-19 positive and was admi🐼tted🧸 to Sanjay Gandhi PGI Hospital in Lucknow.
The family members of the former Lok Sabha Member o♏f Parliament will undergo COVID-19 tests on Sunday and have been put under home quarantine♋.
Chauhan holds the Sainik welfare, home guard🦄s, PRD and Ci꧑vil Security ministry in the Uttar Pradesh cabinet.
As soon as the news broke out, former Indian cricketers RP Singh and Aakash Chopra took to Twitter♋ to pour in their wishes fo✃r Chauhan.
“Chetan Chauhan ji is also tested positive for #COVID-19. Sending best wishes in his direction too…get well soon, sir,” Chopra wrote on Twitter.

The news came in the aftermath of the positive diagnosis of Bollywood’s ‘Shehenshah’ Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan.
Earlier, Scottish international Majid Haq was also diagnosed positive for the ailment, which has caused a global pandemic. Also, the likes of Shahid Afridi and Taufiq Umar were diagnosed with the same.
Last month before the routine check-up for the UK tour, ten Pakistani cricketers were found to be COVID-19 positive. 🔜However, a week later, nine out of ten players were tested COVID-19 negative and sent toꦇ England.
Coming back to Chauhan, the former Indian cricketer forged a successful partnership with batting maestro Sunil Gavaskar, amassing over 3,000ꦐ Test runs, piling up ten century stands during the 1970s.
Having played for Delhi and Maharashtra in domes🦹💮tic cricket, Chauhan has represented the country in as many as 47 games (40 Tests and 7 ODIs).
