The left-handed batter first clinched the joint second-fa𝔍stest fifty with the bat, helping England score a push to 369 in the first innings.
Opener Rory Burns, Jos Buttler, and Ollie Pope also notched up their half-centuries in the process. Then, Br🅺oad came back to pick six wickets with the ball to complete a memorable outing.
As a result, the visitors were left tottering on Day 2, conceding a massive lead of 172 In the first innings. Duri▨ng England’s efforts with the ball, James Anderson picked a couple of wickets, along with Chris Woakes and Jofra Archer sharing a wicket each.
