England captain Joe Root just couldn’t stop giggling after he noticed the brown stain on his teammates Ben Stokes’ pristine pants on Day 2 of the ongoing Test match at Old Trafford.
Stokes was standing with his skipper Root in the slip cordon when the latter saw a brown spot on the all-rounder’s trouser. Stokes tried to hide it with his jumpers but later smirked as teammates laughed hysterically.
The whole incident soon started trending on Twitter as ♍a comparison was draw𝓰n to English footballer Gary Linekar, who endured a pretty similar event in the 1990 FIFA World Cup.

Linekar himself jumped in the conversation and wrote,” **** happens.”
But, Stokes was quick to reveal ❀that he accidentally sat on a spilt coffee.

Meanwhile, England is on the front foot after putting ♔up a stellar show with both bat and ball in the series-decider third Test in Manchester. Once again, the old-guards of English bowling line-up, Stuart Broad and James Anderson, caused a lot of troubles to Windies batsmen as both of them picked two wickets each.
Shane Dowrich and Jason Holder somehow survived the flair and⛦ hostility of English bowlers in the last session as Windies will resume their innings on Day 3 from 137/6.
Earlier in the day, England lost a flurry of wickets in quick succession before Broad came to rescue, slamming 6𝓰5 off just 45 balls to take England to 369 in the first innings.
