James Anderson, th🉐e legendary England speedster, is widely known as one of the finest swing bowlers of the 21st century. His ability to place the ball at the right spot and swing it both ways makes him one of the most unplayable seamers of the captivating game. The command that Anderson has on swing bowling, especially on home conditions with red-ball, is always a treat to watch.

Anderson made his debut for England’s Test side in 2003 against Zimbabwe, where he shimmered and took a five-fer. Since then, the Lancashire cricketer has bagged 589 wickets in his red-ball career, which is the fourth-highest by any bowler and first by any pacer in world cricket.

On the occasion of his birthday, the official Twitter handle of England Cricket posted a compilation video featuring the best wickets Anderson claimed against India in 2018. The right-arm pacer was the leading wicket-taker during that series. Anderso𓆉n played five games and grabbed 24 scalps, including one five-wicket and four-wicket haul.

During the same series, Anderson went past Glenn McGrath’s tally of 563 wickets to become the highest wicket-taker amongst fast bowlers in the history of Test cricket. Currently, the ‘Burnley Express’ is just 11 victims away to reach the 600 Test wickets milestone.
