Former India international Yuvraj Singh, on Wednesday, applauded Stuart Broad after the Englishman became only the seventh bowler and fourth speedster to complete 500 wickets in Test 🔜cricket.
34-year-old Broad reached the milestone after he dismissed West Indies’ opener Kraigg Brathwaite on the fifth day of the final Test played at the Old Trafford in Manchester.
Yuvraj, who smashed Broad for six sixes in an over in the 2007 T20 World Cup quarter-final, took to Twitter to applaud Broad’s efforts and requested his fans not to mention the incident from the India-England tie which took place 13 years ago.
“I’m sure everytime I write something about @StuartBroad8, people relate to him getting hit for 6 sixes! Today I request all my fans to applaud what he has achieved! 500 test wickets is no joke-it takes hard work, dedication & determination. Broady you’re a legend! Hats off,” tweeted Broad.
