Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez was tested po🙈sitive for COVID-19 when PCB conducted the first round of tests of all the 29 England bound players along with 12 support staff members due to board the UK-bound flight on Sunday.
Hafeez’s result came positive along with nine other players. But the very next day the former Pakistan skipped posted a tweet with a report from a private medical facility where the result showed that he has tested negative and hence staying quarantine wasn’t mandatory for him.
According to media reports, Shaukat Khan⛄um Memorial Hospital, which carried out the tests of the players did a retest of the samples of the players where Hafeez has ended up being positive, yet 🃏again.
Thus, with so much confusion surrounding the status of an experienced player like Hafeez has surely sent shockwaves among the cricketing fraternity. Former Indian cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra, thus, took note of the entire hullabaloo regarding Hafeez and tweeted, “Arey yaar….confusion is synonymous with Pakistan cricket, but this is taking it to an all-new level. Positive, negative, positive…all in 72 hours.”

M🀅eanwhile, former Pakistan cricketer Inzamam-ul-Haq has lashed out at PCB medical staf▨f for ignoring the health of the COVID-19 positive players.
“My sources have told me that the PCB’s medical staff did not attend calls of these players for two days, which is a really bad attitude,” Inzamam said on his YouTube channel.
“The players were sent home; I felt they should have been take care of. The players who have tested positive would have thought that PCB is not supporting them at this difficult time,” he added.
