Pakistan’s seasoned white-ball campaigner, Mohammad Hafeez, announced on Twitter that his positive diagnosis for COVID-19 conducted by PCB was false.
After opting for a ‘second opinion’, Hafeez tested himself again and turned out to be negative this time around.
Earlier, PCB tested the 29-member Pakistan squad slated ꧃to depart for England on June 29 for a six-match affair. (Three Tests and Three T20Is).

“The tour to England is very much on track and the side will depart as per schedule. Fortunately, all the first-choice red-ball squad, barring Mohammad Rizwan, are negative, which means they can start training and practising immediately after they have been tested and given the all-clear when they arrive in England. In the meantime, Misbah-ul-Haq is reviewing the training schedule in England and is firming up plans for reserve players to be tested as a backup,” PCB CEO, Wasim Khan asserted.
