During a recent interaction between Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Islamabad United Strategy Manager, Hasan Cheema, and England fast bowler, Steven Finn, the former has made a🌃n exciting revelation regarding two of the gr🔯eats of Pakistan cricket.
According to Cheema, legendary seamer Wasim Akram claimed about Pakistan batting stalw🅠art Misbah-ul-Haq being a four-ball batsman.
Over the years, the ‘Sultan of Swing’ has caused problems to several batting geniuses during his era with his swing and seam movements.
ജAlso, Akram was a master of setting up batsmen with his inswing and outswing deliveries,🌊 thereby, becoming one of the skilful bowlers in world cricket.
In his glittering career,💛 Akram has over 900 international scalps with over 400 wickets in both Tests anಌd ODI cricket, the only fast bowler to achieve the feat.
Cheema, durin🧸g a chat with 🍰Finn on Youtube, revealed about the conversation he had with Akram during one of the training sessions in Dubai.
Finn had repr🍸esented Islamabad United during the second and the third season of the PSL.
“Why doesn’t Finn get him [Misbah] out every other ball? He is a four-ball batsman. I know how to get him out in four balls,” Akram told Cheema.
After making his debut, Misbah developed quite a reputation for being a stubbor🌠n batsman who puts a price on 🔯his wicket.
His defences were one ofℱ the most difficult ones to dislodge. Misbah p♈erformed out of his skin against arch-rivals India.
To which, Finn concurred with his statement by talking about the time during the training session in ICC’s academy, where he managed to swing a white-ball, presently renowned to be flatter.
“You remember he bowled in that training session as well. Everyone talks about the white ball not swinging these days. I watched him for about an hour. He was shining this ball perfectly and then swung pretty much every ball either way he wanted. So, they do swing,” Finn replied.
