Former Pakistani batting great, Younis Khan has named the biggest threat for Pakistan, and it’s not James Anderson or Stuart Broad. Younis tagged express England pacer Jofra Archer as a ‘match-winner’ and a ‘threat’.
“He (Archer) is a real match-winner and a threat. Archer has strong nerves which he proved while bowling a crucial super over in the World Cup final,” Younis was quoted as saying by AFP.
Meanwhile, Archer had a memorable English summer of 2019 by ending up 🤪with 22 in the four matches he featured in, the second-hi🐲ghest for England after Broad.
“He has bite in his bowling, and his high arm action is very good and gives him nip in his bowling. There is a hype around him so that it can be an added pressure on him. I have told the batsmen to play close to the body and play on the back foot because his in-swinger can be very dangerous,” Khan added.
During the Lord’s Test match, Archer flattened Steve Smith with a barrage of bouncers, bowling one of the m𒁏ost hostile spells in re🎐cent history.
Archer gained a reputation internationally through franchise cricket. He donned the colours of Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League (BBL) and Rajasthan Royals in thꦦe Indian Premier League (IPL)🃏.
The Barb𓆏ado𓂃s-born played for West Indies at the U-19 level, before representing England at the senior level last year.
