Just like the men cricketers, Indian women cricket stars are too spending time at their homes amid lockdown. They also are engaging in different tactics to entertain their fans and admirers. In the process, Indian women middle-order batter Jemimah Rodrigues showed her singing skills.
There is no doubt that Jemima﷽h🍌 belongs to elite women cricketers who are supremely talented batters. But on Sunday, the official Twitter handle of BCCI women posted a video of Jemimah showing off her singing skills. She recorded a video singing famous Bollywood classic songs.
The Mumbai-born cricketer started the proceedings with the famous classic song ‘Chand Sa Roshan Chehra’. Then Jemimah sang ‘Hai Apna Dil to Awara’, followed by ‘Aaj Kal Tere Mere Pyar Ke Charche’.
The last song that Jemimah sang was dedicated to her fans. She went with the classic friendship song ‘Ye Dosti Hum Nahi Todenge’ from the hit movie ‘Sholey’ and asked the viewers to sing along with her. She also urged her fans to stay home amid lockdown 4.0.
“Begin your Sunday on a musical note courtesy Lil J! Get ready to be mesmerized as our in-house rockstar @JemiRodrigues shows off her singing and ukulele skills,” the BCCI Women tweeted.

Jemimah even hosts a YouTube chat show along with her teammate Smriti Mandhana named ‘Double Trouble’. Recently, the women duo invited Indian men pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Indian women veteran bowler Jhulan Goswami.
During the chat, Bhuvi was asked to describe how he got Sachin Tendulkar out in a domestic game when he was just 19 years old. It happened in 2009 when Bhuvneshwar had dismissed the ‘Master Blaster’ for a duck in Ranji Trophy which was the latter’s first duck in the domestic circuit.
Bh♚uvneshwar while recalling the incident gave credit to then captain Mohammad Kaif who placed a unique field to get Sachin out.
“I was lucky because the position where Sachin got out was neither short leg nor mid-wicket, so the credit goes to Mohammad Kaif, who was my captain at that time. He set the field, and I just bowled, and eventually, it (Sachin’s wicket) happened,” Bhuvneshwar had said.
