The famous ‘Notebook celebration’ of West Indies all-rounder Kesrick Williams hogged the headlines first during one of the editions of Caribbean Premier League (CPL).

Williams, after dismꦿissing Chadwick Walton, gave a hilarious send-off of registering his dismissa🍌l in an imaginary notebook on his palms.

Walton retaliated in the next fixture by imitating his ‘notebook celebration’ every time he dispatched Williams to the boundary.

However, during one of the T20I matches between India and West Indie♛s in Jamaica, back in 2017, Williams brought out his imaginaಌry notebook after dismissing Virat Kohli.

Cut to 2019, when West Indies visited the Indian shore, Kohli gave a dose of Williams’ medicine with his trademark ‘notebook celebration’, every time he dispatched him for a boundary.

“Last year in India, as soon as Mr Virat Kohli walked into bat, he walks straight at me and says, ‘the notebook celebration thing is not going to work here tonight. I’m going to make sure it won’t work’,” Williams recalled recently.

“And I was like, ‘Seriously! The episode is back from 2017’. Every ball I bowled he said something but, honest to god, the only thing I said to him was, ‘mate, just bat and shut up. Really, you sound like a child.’ That’s all I said to Kohli,” the West Indian said during an interview with International Cricket Network 360.

Further, Williams conceded that Kohli was on song, the given day and latter has ‘beaten him badly’ as he failed to execute his plans.

Before 💙the next game at Trivandrum, captain Kohli, on the 🌳plane, stared at Williams with a gesture of shaking hands.

In re♈turn, Williams talked about being extra-determined to scalp the prized wicket of Kohli. Furthermore, Williams affirmed that there was no negative energy between them.

“At the end of the day, we didn’t have any bad energy. We shook each other’s hands, we go our separate ways. He is not disrespectful, he is very professional. When we have problems off the field, we don’t carry it off the field. So, me and Kohli are good. But I can’t wait for a full game,” Williams concluded.
