‘Master Blaster’ Sachin Tendulkar has been a role model for every aspiring cricketer who wants to break at the international stage. Bangladesh cricketer Mohammad Ashraful, who was once a ‘ball boy’ in international matches, first saw the glimpse of Tendulkar’s batting at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka. Ashraful also clicked pictures with the ‘Little Master’ back then.

Years after the incident, Ashraful showed one of the pictures to Tendulkar and the Mumbaikar was left sur𝕴prised after seeing the photo. On Thursday (May 14), Ashraful came on YouTube live with renowned sports journalist Noman Mohammad and told the whole story.

Ashraful surprised to see Sachin eating ‘so much’

Ashraful invited everyone includi🌸ng Sachin, Harbhajan Singh and the then video analyst of Mumbai Indians (MI) to his house. The Bangladesh international was amazed after seeing Tendulkar eating at his home. Ashraful thought that Tendulkar might eat less food as the latter has a very controlled personality in real life.

However, to Ashraful’s surprise, Tendulkar ate a lot. The right-handed batsman revealed that Tendulkar ate all the items his mother cooked, from bread, pulao, fish, rice, meat, vegetables to yoghurt and sweets.

“Believe me, Sachin ate all the items my mother cooked. Then he also ate a lot of yoghurt and sweets. I couldn’t ask Sachin how he could eat so much,” said Ashraful during the interaction.

Ashraful also revealed that at one point, Tendulkar himself said, “I eat less most of the time. I eat a loaf of vegetables. But sometimes I eat. I eat as much as I can on the day when I wish to eat.”

Meanwhile, last month, Ashraful has donated his three month’s salary for the ones affected in the coronavirus pandemic. Ashraful got the amount from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) as he is a part of the 91 contracted first-class cricketers.

“I think at this point in time; everyone should come forward. Our country doesn’t go through this sort of a situation all the time. I have also donated taka 85,000, my three months’ salary, to the needy if I can bring a smile to them in crisis,” Ashraful was quoted as saying in sarabangla.net.
