There have been many occasions when fans have tried to imitate their favourite bowler’s action. The Indian captain, Virat Kohli was once seen imitating veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh’s action during a pre-match show. Recently, when India toured New Zealand, kids were trying to copy Jasprit Bumrah’s movement.

Even few batsmen have been on target by imitators which include fans, foꦅllowers and cricketers. For example,🍰 the way former Australian captain Steve Smith leaves the ball while batting gets imitated quite a lot. Now it seems to have become a trend, which is carried forward by Pakistan pacer Naseem Shah.

During the COVID-19 lockdown period, a video came out on social media in which Naseem surprised everyone with his imitation of Steve Smith’s batting technique, especially the way he leaves balls.

In the video, Naseem can be seen playing indoor cricket and leaving deliveries in a precisely similar manner as Smith does. During the Ashes 2019, Smith’s ball leaving technique grabbed maximum eyeballs, and since then many videos have come out where fans showed their way of imitating the batting genius.

In the video, Naseem is seen copying Smith’s style of play, his stance, his defence, and of course, his method of leaving the balls.

Here’s the video:

Like the rest of cricketers, Naseem is also spendi🤪ng time at his home due to the spread of Coronavirus. The 17-year-old has🧔 played 4 Tests so far for Pakistan in which the speedster has taken 13 wickets, including a five-wicket haul.
