Former Pakistan captain and a well-known cricket commentator Ramiz Raja suggested veteran players Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez to announce their retirement from international cricket. Now, Malik has hit back on Ra൲miz in a unique way.
On Monday, Ramiz opined that: “They should leave international cricket with respect and gracefully.”
“I come across both during my assignments; that is why I avoid making personal comments. There is no doubt both have served Pakistan cricket well all these years. But now I think it is time they gracefully retired from the Pakistan team,” said Ramiz in a video conference.
“They should leave international cricket with respect and gracefully. I think if they retire now, it will help Pakistan cricket. We have a good pool of players, and we must move ahead, ” added Ramiz.
However, now former captain Malik has retalia꧂ted and responded to Ramiz’s comments over him and Hafeez. Malik took to Twitter and took a dig at cricketer-🍸turned-commentator.
“Yes, @iramizraja bhai agreed. Since all 3 of us are the end of our careers let’s retire gracefully together – I’ll call and let’s plan this for 2022? @MHafeez22 #jokes,” wrote Malik on his Twitter account.

Ahe🌞ad of the T20 World Cup, both the senior players were called back in the squad by Pakistan selectors. Recently, the 39-year-old Hafeez announced that after the T20 World Cup in Australia later this year he will hang his boots. Malik, on the other hand, has not yet revealꦜed about his future in the 20-overs format.
