Former South African seamer Shaun Pollock has picked the best batsman🦋 of his generation, and it is none otꦛher than Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar.
During the 90s and early 2000s, the two veterans of the game frequently met whenever India faced off against S🅘outh Africa.
The duel between the two was one of the most eagerly anticipated events during the fixture as the two always tried to trump past ♒each ot🔯her.
While Pollock tried to deceive Sachin withꦬ his nagging line and lengths outside the off-stump, the latter attempted to counter-attack through his ar🦂ray of strokes.
🐟The two also shared the same dressing room at the Mumbai Indians during the initial years of the tournament.
Later, Pollock picked up a mentorship ✨role in the team while Tendulkar played for his beloved franchise.
“It was how well he understood his game and how he would adjust. He talked to me once about going to Australia and understanding he couldn’t take on the short-pitched deliveries anymore so he would ramp the ball over the w🦹icketkeeper and slip,” Pollock told Sky Sports.
“There were times, espec🦹ially in the subcontinent, where you thought, ‘I’m not sure we can knock this guy over. We were hoping he would make a mistaꦛke, rather than had a genuine plan’,” continued Pollock.
Well, Pollock has had thꦇe bette🐭r of Tendulkar 13 times in international cricket his most against any batsman.
Despite hanging up his boots six years ago, Sachin💦 is still miles ahead of the rest in the tally of most i🌟nternational runs and centuries.
Tendulkar has accumulatedꦺ a monumental tally of 15921 Test and 18426 ODI runs in his glorious 24-year long career.
