Shane Warne picks all-India IPL XI with a surprise notable omission

Former Australian cricketer and one of the best spinners to have played the game, Shane Warne, on Tuesday picked his all-time IPL XI consisting of only Indian players. Warne was having a live session on social media platform Instagram where the legendaܫry leg-spinner and former skipper of Rajasthan Royals revealed his all-India IPL XI.

For the opening slo൲t, Warne went with the duo of Rohit Sharma and Virender Sehwag, who have had incredible records in the cash-rich tournament. At number three, Warne named Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli.

Following Kohli, Warne picked Yuvra💧j Singh at number four with Yusuf Pathan coming in at number five.

“Yusuf scored one of the best hundreds against Mumbai Indians, and he also played a great knock in the IPL final in 2008,” Warne said in the video.

Yusuf was followed by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain and another legend of the game, MS Dho✱ni. The former India skipper was accompanied by his CSK teammates, Ravindra Jadeja and Harb𝄹hajan Singh.

However, Warne surprisingly included Siddharth Trivedi. The former RR pacer had once picked up✱ the wickets of Sachin Ten🏅dulkar and Sanath Jayasuriya during a match against Mumbai Indians.

Completing his three-man p🍬ace attacꦏk, Warne picked Munaf Patel and Zaheer Khan as the spearheads of the bowling line-up.

Notably, Warne left out ‘Mr. IPL’ Suresh Raina out of his team. Raina is the first and only player to have scored over 400 runs in seven consecutive (2008–2014) IPL seasons.

Shane Warne’s all-India IPL XI: Rohit Sharma, Vi༒render Sehwag, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj♊ Singh, Yusuf Pathan, MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Harbhajan Singh, Siddharth Trivedi, Munaf Patel, Zaheer Khan.
