Legendary Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar, who recently celebrated his 47th birthday, has presentedꦡ the fate of the impending 2020 season of Indian Premier League (IPL) and ICC T20 World Cup this year.
The cricketing world h𝓀as been put on hold indefinitely due to the worldwide global pandemic 🍒situation. Under such circumstances, speculations and theories have been flooding in with one and all prescribing suggestions.
Tendulkar, who is a renowned thinker of the game, also commented on the issue of scheduling problems that clo💦ud around ICC, CA and BCC🦄I, regarding the two marquee T20 events.
“I don’t know about the number of days available or when it was likely to happen (the exact dates). As long as there is cricket, I am happy,” Sachin told IANS.
Many proposed the possible window of IPL in the month of October-November, which is slated for the T20 World Cup. The World Cup, in turn, could be🐽 played next yeไar in 2021.
“I am sure ICC would look into it and so will the Australian cricket board and see which is the best way forward and then decide for world cricket, Indian cricket as well as Australian cricket. I feel they just need to identify the windows and if it fits into those windows, then why not?” further added Tendulkar.
During the interaction, Sachin also♓ replied to the comparison of the modern era of Indian superstars with the former legಞends of the game.
“I don’t like comparing generations because I feel it is wrong. Not to forget the likes of Srinath, Anil, Agarkar, Nehra, Zaheer, Harbhajan were all bowling against different batters. If I go into details, somewhere down the line I would be comparing,” Sachin said.
Sachin signed off by statin♛g the importance of remaining at home 🅰and being safe amid the outbreak of the pathogen.
