Rohit Sharma’s early days reminded Yuvraj Singh of Inzamam-ul-Haq

Former India cricketer and 2011 world cup hero Yuvraj Singh has revealed that when he first saw Rohit Sharma, the Mumbai player reminded him of Pakistan batti꧅ng legend Inzamam-ul-Haq.

Speaking a🎀bout the first impression of Rohit, Yuvraj said the adventurous batsman seemed like somebody who꧟ had a lot of time to play his strokes.

“I think when he came into the Indian team, he looked like somebody who had a lot of time,” said Yuvraj during a YouTube chat show.

Yuvi said Inzamam also had a lot of time when he used to play during his time, and that’s exactly why Rohit reminded him of the former Pakistan captain.

“He reminded me of Inzamam-ul-Haq, because, when he batted, Inzi had a lot of time (to play the bowlers),” added Yuvraj.

The veteran Pakistan batsman, Inzamam, played 120 Tests and over 300 One-♉day Internationals (ODIs). He was known to remain calm uꦯnder pressure situations. The Multan-born captained Pakistan from 2003-07.

Speaking about the flashy India vice-captain, Rohit debuted in June 2007 in an ODI game against Ireland. However, he didn’t get a chance to bat. His first T20 game came during the inaugural T20 World Cup against England, where again he didn’t have the opportunity to bat.

Overall, Rohit has played 224 ODIs and 108 T20Is, in which the 32-year-old has clubbed 9115♓ and 2773 runs, respectively.
