Indian team is having a dream run in the ongoing Women’s T20 World Cup. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side has played four games and is unbeaten in the tournament so far. Due to the𓆉ir consistent run of form, India have qualified for the semi-finals.

India’s highest run-scorer in the competition, Shafali Verma, has played a crucial role in the team’s journey to the knockout stage. Shefali hasn’t yet smashed a half-century but provided speedy starts, which has helped her side to post a competitive total in all matches.

In the last match aga🐎inst Sri Lanka, the 16-year-old opener fell 3 runs short from reaching maiden ﷽fifty at the mega event. Shafali played some powerful shots to dominate the Sri Lankan bowlers completely.

During her splendid innings, Shafali played an unreal shot, which gr⛦abbed maximum eyeballs and quicklyꦇ became the talk of the town.

It all happened in the ninth over of India’s chase bowled by spinner Shashikala Siriwardene. The right-armer bowled a wide delivery, but Shafali, instead of leaving the ball, walked across the stumps and smashed it for a four. In an attempt, the Rohtak-born went behind the stumps and whacked a slower ball over the fine leg region.

In the match, India restricted the Lankan team to 113-9 in 20 overs. Left-arm spinner Radha Yadav claimed a four-wicket haul, whereas Rajeshwari Gayakwad too𒐪k two🐷 wickets. Deepti Sharma, Shikha Pandey, and Poonam Yadav earned one scalp each.

In reply🐎, the Indian team chased down the total inside 15 overs, with Shafali scoring the maximum 47 off 34 balls.
