India’s highest run-scorer in the competition, Shafali Verma, has played a crucial role in the team’s journey to the knockout stage. Shefali hasn’t yet smashed a half-century but provided speedy starts, which has helped her side to post a competitive total in all matches.
In the last match aga🐎inst Sri Lanka, the 16-year-old opener fell 3 runs short from reaching maiden ﷽fifty at the mega event. Shafali played some powerful shots to dominate the Sri Lankan bowlers completely.

In the match, India restricted the Lankan team to 113-9 in 20 overs. Left-arm spinner Radha Yadav claimed a four-wicket haul, whereas Rajeshwari Gayakwad too𒐪k two🐷 wickets. Deepti Sharma, Shikha Pandey, and Poonam Yadav earned one scalp each.
