Pakistan’s T20 specialist, Shoaib Malik, has poured in tribute for the former coach Bob Woolmer on his 13th death anniversary.

The day is remember💮ed as one of the darker days of Pakistan cricket, as well as world cricket because the South African was one of the best coaches the game has ever seen.

Woolmer was appointed as Pakistan’s head coach, taking over from Javed Miandad in 2004. Before his tenure as the coach for the Men in Green, Woolmer enjoyed a successful stint with the South African national team.

The former English international gained a reputation for his innovative and progress♏ive methods of coaching. Woolmer stressed on anaജlytics, inculcated reverse sweeps in tactics, and the use of earpieces for communication on the field.

The Kanpꦆur-born, who died at the age of 58, took his last breaths at the Pegasus Hotel in Jamaica. Earlier that day, Ireland shocked Pakistan and knocked them out of the 2007 ODI World Cup🥂 held in West Indies.

During his tenure as coach, Woolmer enjoyed some wonderful relationships with his players. One of them was young Shoaib Malik, who managed to find his feeღt at the international level under the mentorship of Woolme🐼r.

Malik took to Twitter to pay his tribute to the beloved coach. “Miss you coach #RIPBobWoolmer.”
