Rohit Sharma reveals the saddest moment of his career

The deadly coronavirus pandemic has brought the ent🌠ire world at a standstill position. Meanwhile, many public figures, including cricketers, are also following the self-isolation process and inspiring their fans to do the same.

The dangerous disease has t🐠erminated many cricket series and tournaments, which has compelled former as well as current cricketers to follow self-isolation. To pass the time, they are trying to engage with fans on social media and sharing the latest happenings and updates of 🌳their life.

In the pr🍌ocess, former England batsman Kevin Pietersen also decided to utilize his time but not with fans. He invited Indian batsman Rohit Sharma for an interview on Instagram. The duo conducted a live chat session for the fans.

During the chat, Rohit talked about many things, including the lowest point in his career and what brought about a change in his profession. The Indian deputy gave credit to Ricky Ponting and sai♓d sp🦩ending time with the former Aussie skipper worked like magic in his life.

The 32-year-old revealed that not getting picked up for the 2011 World Cup s🐟quad wa💫s the lowest point of his career.

“Not getting picked for the 2011 World Cup squad, that was the saddest moment as it was happening in our own backyard, the final was played at my home ground,” said Rohit.

However, like any other matured sportsman, Rohit stated that it was purely due to the poor performances that he wasn’t picked in the world cup squad.

“It was due to my performances, I was not at my best,” said the Mumbaikar.

Rohit had a tremendous 2019 World Cup, where he smashed five hundreds and one half-century. With an outstanding av🍬erage of 81, Rohit managed to score the highest 648 runs in n🌳ine games.
