South Africa Legends started off the proceedings in the ongoing Road Safety World Series with a win over West Indies Legends at DY Patil stadium in Mumbai ꦗon Wednesday.
Chasing 144, Africa Legends lost 4 wickets with just 44 on the board in the ninth over. However, then Jonty Rhodes and Albie Morkel joined hands and took their side over the line. The duo added an unbe💦ate♒n 104-run stand to open account of the South African team in the league of legends.

Rhodes ꧑rema💯ined not out on 53 off 40 balls, while Morkel played an unbeaten knock of 54 from 30 deliveries.

For the Windies, Carl Hooper picked up three wickets, while Adam 🦋Sanford and Samuel Badree grabbed two scalps each.
Earlier, West Indies Legends posted 143-8 in their allotted 20 overs. Opening pair of Daren Ganga and Shivnarine Chand🍌erpaul started well and ad🌺ded a crucial 48-run stand before Paul Harris dismissed Chanderpaul (21).
Harris showed his spin magic again and got the set batsman Ganga (31), followed by the big fish Brian Lara (4) as the Windies were reduced to 66-3 in 10.3 overs. Then Ricardo Powell and Danza Hyatt added a vital 36-run stand to take the team’s score post 100.

Legend Hooper remained unbeaten for 23 off 18 balls and took his side to 143. Harris was the most successful bowler for South Africa, claimingꦺ three wickets fo꧑llowed by Garnett Kruger, who earned two. Andrew Hall and Johan van der Wath took one wicket each.
