Team India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah showed the old fire and zeal on Sunday as he returned to form with some fine bowling in New Zealand’s first innings at Hagley Oval. The inswingers, outswingers, and bouncers were at full flow as the hosts struggled to deal with Bumrah’s swing and pace on Day 2 of the Christchurch Test.
Bumrah dismissed Kane Williamson in the first ses🌼sion and then returned in the second session to get thওe wickets of BJ Watling and Tim Southee in the same over.
Williamson chased a seam-up delivery released from wide of the crease and he looked to defend it hoping that it will angle back in but it wasn’t the case. The ball got a big edge off Williamson’s bat and the Kiwi skipper was caught behind by Rishabh Pant.
Soon after Williamson’s departure, Virat Kohli came up with a pumped-up celebration, which had plenty of intensity, expletives and a mix of joy and frustration. The Indian captain gave his New Zealand counterpart a fiery send-off while the latter was walking off from the wicket.

This was not the first time, Kohli let his emotions do the talking on the field. Like his batting, Kohli’s captaincy has also been instinctive. The Indian skipper is always looking to leave an impact on the game and expects the same from his teammates.
Punching the air, covering his face after the missed chances or shouting at his players after a misfielding, Kohli goes through all these emotions while leading on the field. His wild celebration after Williamson’s wicket got the fans across the Twitter going early on the second day’s play.
