England’s lethal pacer Jofra Archer has shed light upon his availability for Rajasthan Royals in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced last month that Archer would not be taking part in IPL 2020 due to his elbow injury. Therefore, he was also not picked for England’s upcoming tour to Sri Lanka.

However, Archer recently signed a two-year contract with Sussex till the end of the 2022 season, which gav🍎e hints regarding his recovery from the injury. The Barbados bowler is confident about the recuperation of his injury.

“The elbow is fine, I haven’t felt it for the last few weeks now, so I think it’s making good progress,” he said in a video on Sussex’s website as quoted by Cricket365.

“I’m not targeting anything. I’ve played a lot of cricket, so I don’t think I’ll forget how to play cricket even if I don’t do anything for the next couple of months. It’s actually nice to just take a break. I’m not happy that it’s come at this time, but I’m also grateful that I’m getting the chance to relax and take a step back for a bit,” Archer added.

When asked about whether he could take part in the upcoming IPL, Archer said, “You never know, fingers crossed.”

“I’ll probably have some more information when I get it re-scanned. It could be a bit longer, I might have to wait, it could be a bit shorter,” Archer added further.

The English speedster played 𝐆for two seasons in the IPL. In 21 matches, Archer has picked up 26 wickets at an economy r🦹ate of 7.52.
