The famous Indian squad of the 2008 U19💧 World Cup in Kuala Lumpur gave India an arr🌃ay of cricketing stars.
The likes of Virat Kohli, Ravindra❀ Jadeja, Manish Pandey, and Siddharth Kaul have represented India at the highest level. Off-spinner Iqbal Abdullah also belonged to the same classღ of 2008, which brought laurels to the country.
Over the years, Abdullah has been a hot-pick at the aucඣtions of the Indian Premier League (IPꦗL) and has been a part of various franchises.
However, Abdullah did receive adequate opportunities at any of the franchises. Also, he remained unsolꦺd since the mega auctions of 2018.
Abdullah, following the recent trend of registering their opinions on social media amidst the quara﷽ntine period, named his all-time XI. His teammates from the victorious U19𒁃 squad, Kohli and Jadeja get into the 13-member crew in the lineup.
The opening slot is occupied by legendary batsmen, AB de Villiers and Rohit Sharma. T🏅he top two run-getters ofღ IPL history, Kohli and Suresh Raina feature at the third and fourth position.
Probably the best all-rounders of IPL, Kieron Pollard, Andre 🍰Russell and Hardik Pandya are the finishers in the tea𝔉m, shepherded by talisman MS Dhoni, donning the triple role of wicket-keeper batsman and captain.
Though, as a spinner, Abdullah did not feel the urge to include another specialist pacer barring Jasprit Bumrah. The first-cl⭕ass cricketer who now represents Sikkim included both Ravichandran Ashwin and Rashid Khan in his lineup.
Here’s Iqbal Abdullah’s all-time IPL XI:
