India and former champions ⭕England are set to clash in the key semi-final fixtures of the T20 Women’s World Cup 20🌳20 at the brand-old SCG (Sydney Cricket Ground), on March 05.
Later in the day, defending champions, ൲Australia takes on contenders South Africa in the second semi-finals clash at the𓃲 same venue.
However, the weather forecast for both the game🅘s does not look 🧸encouraging with high chances of matches being washed out.
The apex cricketing 🔯body, Internatio☂nal Cricket Council (ICC), did not allow a reserve day in case of matches being washed out due to rain.
So, who qualifies in case both semi-finals are washed out? Between India and England, it w🎐ill be the Indian team that will qualify for the finals, owing to their position in the points table.
India ended up undefeated by winning all their games and bagging all eight points available in the round-robin stage in Group A, whereas, England might be knocked out with the 6 poi⭕nts accumulated in Group B.
Similarly, in the second semi-finals, it will be South Africa who would trump past hosts Australia due to their superior position in th♔e points table dꦉuring the group stage.
South Africa topped Group B unexpectedly, after collecting 𓂃7 points in the group stage. However, Australia’s defeat against India in the lung-opener might cost them the tournament as they stand at the number two position in Group A with six points.
