As Inꦰdia nearly completes day three of the 21-day lockdown, several well-known personalities from the film fraternity, politics and sports have stepped up to do their bit and help those in need. Former Indian cricket team captain, MS Dhoni, too has announced a donation of Rs 1 lakh to combat the pandemic that has gripped the nation.
Dhoni had donated t﷽heᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ money via a crowdfunding website Ketto, to the Mukul Madhav Foundation, a public charitable trust, in Pune.
🔥While any and every contribution to help the cause is praiseworthy and equally lauded by netizens, an amount of Rs 1 lakh donation from one of the richestꩲ cricketers in the world did not sit well with some of the Twitter users.

Meanwhile, Vikrant Gupta – India Today Senior Executive Editor (Sports) – has revealed the real reason for Dhoni donating Rs 1 lakh for the noble cause.
While he lashed o♔ut at all the trolls first, then cleared that the NGO needed only that much money to reach their goal.
“Such a shame people are trolling @msdhoni for the 1 lakh donation to an NGO. The NGO wanted to raise 12.50 lakh and MSD added the amount they needed. He isn’t the kind of person who would tom-tom about such things. For all you know he might hv donated more somewhere else already,” his tweet read.

Sakshi Dhoni lashes out at media houses
MS Dhoni’s Sakshi was irked with the false reporting and took to her Twitter handle, urging the media to spread the fake news. She also wondered where responsible journalism has disappeared in the country.
