Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have been considered as one of the best teams on paper. Having stalwarts like Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Dale Steyn, and some former big names like Yuvraj Singh, Mitchell Starc and Chris Gayle, RCB haven’t been able to win the Indian Premier League (IPL) title even once.
Now, ahead of the 2020 season, RCB have done🍸 something which left everyone confused, including the players and the coach.
On Wednesday, the Bangalore-based franchise deleted all their Instagram posts and also removed the profile pictures along with cover photos from their Twitter and Facebook pages. The word “Bangalore”, too, was dropped from the name on Twitter.
Fans have started speculating that there could be a new name and a new logo for😼 the team. Along with fans, RCB players like De Villiers, Parthiv Patel and skipper Kohli took to Twitter to inquire about the changes to the social media accounts.
De Villiers was surprised to see this and hoped that it’s just a strategy break.
“Folks at @rcbtweets, what’s happened to our social media accounts? Hope it’s just a strategy break.”
Folks at , what’s hap𝕴pened to our social media accounts? 😳 Hope it’s j꧒ust a strategy break. 🤞🏼
— AB de Villiers (@ABdeVilliers17)
RCB’s skipper Kohli showed disappointment that the captain wasn’t informed about it.
“Posts disappear, and the captain isn’t informed. @rcbtweets, let me know if you need any help.”

— Virat Kohli (@imVkohli)
Leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal sniffed whether there was a googly b💜owled by RCB by doing this unusua💯l activity.
“Arey @rcbtweets, what googly is this? Where did your profile pic and Instagram posts go?”
A🅷rey , what googly is this? 🤔 Where did your profile pic and Instagram posts go? 😳
— Yuzvendra Chahal (@yuzi_chahal)
RCB coa♚ch Mike Hesson looked worried and asked is everything 🍌okay?
“Hey, @RCBTweets, are you all ok…..am starting to get a bit worried what happened to our profile pictures???”

Some reports even suggest that RCB’s “Bangalore” in the name might be changed to “Bengaluru”, and the announcement will be made on February 16.
