Veteran Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh has recommended that the Indian team should add both wrist spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav in the plaဣying XI when they wi🃏ll take on New Zealand in the second One-Day International (ODI), scheduled to take place on Saturday (Feb 08), at Eden Park in Auckland.
Chahal was not included in the first match, and Kuldeep was taken to cleaners by the New Zealanders. The left-arm chinaman bowܫler gave 84 runs in his tenꦓ overs, though he did manage to take two wickets but was the most expensive amongst the Indian bowlers.
“I would like to see both spinners playing together — Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal,” Harbhajan said on Star Sports.
“This New Zealand team will play fast bowlers on any given day, and they will take anyone on. But when it comes to playing spin, it has always been a case for them,” added Harbhajan.
“You can get those wickets in the middle overs. So, I would like to see both the spinners play together. Maybe leave out Kedar Jadhav and play an extra spinner,” Harbhajan added further.
New Zealand won the opening game in Hamilton, thanks to Ross Taylor’s 21st century which helped the Kiwis to chase down their highest total (348) in OD𝓡Is on Wednesday. The hosts are leading the three-match series 1-0.
