In the match, the Proteas lost their first wicket early in the form of Dane van Niekerk (2), but Lee and Suneꦿ Luus put on a show as the pair added a 131-run stand for the second wicket.
Luus remained unbeaten on 61 off 41 balls, while Lee got out after reaching 101. Then came Chloe Tyron, who slammed a quick-fire 11-ball 24 to help her team reach the highest team total in the Women’s T20 World Cup.
South Africa posted 195-3 in 20 overs and leapfrogged India’s score of 194-5 against New Zealand in 2018 at Providence Stadium in Guyana.
195/3 – The highest total in Women's history 👏👏
