Swashbuckling England wicket-keeper batsman, Jos Buttler, is looking forward﷽ to yet another stint with teammate Ben Stokes, donning the pink of Rajasthan Royal in the upಌcoming edition of Indian Premier League (IPL).
Buttler lit up the 2018 edition of IꦜPL, where🍨 he amassed a whopping 548 runs in the 13 games he featured in, striking the ball at over 155.
The Lancashire cricketer smashed five fifties in the process. After setting high benchmarks at the opening slot for the Jaipur based franchise, Buttler also had an incredible 2019 season as he struck three half-centuries during his tally of 311 ꦡruns in just eight games.
Buttler featured in the Royals’ lineup with the likes of fellow Englishmen Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer. The recently appointed MBE will not be able to play with Archer,ꦏ who pulled out of the tournament after sustaining an injury during🌳 the Centurion Test in South Africa earlier this year.
“I think it’s great to have that Enไglish contingent in the side, especially for us and the UK fanbase as well, which is nice to be growing,” Buttler told Espncric🐷info.
“I think when you’re playing with guys that you know really well, and you share the dressing ro🉐om with a lot, those familiar faces make new situations and new surroundings a lot easier, so there’s a lot of big pl𝔉uses for us with that,” added the world-cup winner of 2019.
Later, the former Mumbai Indian player credited IPL for his success at the international level. The likes of Eoin Morgan, Moeen Ali, Jason Roy, Tom Banton, and several other English stars will feature in the marquee T20 tournament, st൲arting March 29.
“I think the IPL has had as big an impact 🃏as any on my career. It’s an amazing place to learn and it is the best T20 competition in the world, all the best players playing against each other and you’re sharing a dressing room with past and present brilliant players,” concluded tಌhe 29-year old, while talking to Sky Sports.
