India’s star batsman KL Rahul has spellbound cricket fans with some unbelievable performances in white-ball cricket. His consistency with the bat has helped Team India to fill the vacuum created by the absence of Shikhar Dhawan.
Rahul moved up to the second spot in the latest rankings released by the International Cricket Council (ICC) after he smashed 224 runs in the five-match T20I series against New Zealand. Rahul was named ‘Player of the Series’, which was won by India 5-0.
With two half-centuries against New Zealand, Rahul’s partner-in-crime Rohit Sharma has breached into top-10 rankings.
Kiwi opener Colin Munro has retained his fourth spot with 785 points, while Pakistan’s Babar Azam is still at the top with 879 points.
Australia’s limited over skipper Aaron Finch has fallen to the third place from second, whereas his compatriot Glenn Maxwell has gone down to the sixth spot.
Apart from 🥀the openers, Indian skipper Virat Kohli is the third Indian batter in the list. He sits at the ninth position with 673 points.
