The Pink 🅰ODI holds a parallel tradition in itself with hosts South Africa donning the Pink jersey. This time around, even the English team replaced their navy blue stripes with a shade of pink in support of awareness of breast cancer.
🐲World Champions and the number-one ODI team in the world, England, managed to square the series with a narrow two-wicket win over South Africa at the Wanderers in Johannesburg on Sunday.
Quinton de Kock’s side was put to bat first and they man✃aged to score a below-par sc🏅ore of 257 in front of the daunting English batting lineup.
De Kock and their experienced campaigner, David Miller, took the responsibility of putting a face-⛎saving total as the Proteas kept losing wickets at regular intervals.
Both scored 69 each to counter Adil Rashid’s effort of 3/51, which derail🦩ed the South African proceedings. Rashid featured in his 100th ODI.
❀‘Killer Miller’, finally living up t💟o his reputation, entertained the crowd with his unbeaten knock, which was laced with four boundaries and an equal number of maximums.
