The multi-million project of revamping the Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Stadium in Motera finally has been completed. The stadium can now hold a ca♍pacity of 1,10,000 people, thereby making it the largest cricket stadium in the world.

India played Sri Lanka last in the old Motera stadium in 2014. Since then, no cricketing action has taken place in the stadium where the quarter-final between India and Australia was pꦅlayed in the 2011 World Cup.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), recently, ✅posted a picture of the newly-built stadium, with a picturesque aerial view.

BCCI President Sourav Ganguly was quick to register his emotions after lookinܫg at the picture of t♈he stadium from atop.

“Lovely to see such a massive, pretty stadium .. Ahmedabad .. have great memories in this ground as a player, captain ..grew up at Eden with hundred thousand capacity .. (not anymore).. can’t wait to see this on 24th,” Ganguly replied to the post.
The stadium is all set to topple Melbourne Cricket Ground’s capacity of 1,00,000 to beco🍷me the largest cric𒊎keting arena in the world.

It was revamped at an exorbitant amount of 700 crores and is spread across 63 acres oꩵf land area, which will house indoor training area, two cricket grounds, with facilities for swimming, hockey, and football.

As per initial media reports, US President Donald Trump was slated to inaugurate the stadium during his visit to Ahmedabad ﷽on February 24. However, the chances of him inaugurating the grand stadium look bleak with re𝓀ports of him not attending the ceremony.
