Bangladesh registered a massive victory in the only Test against Zimbabwe at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka 🤪on Tuesday. The hosts completely dominated the contest and defeated the visitors by an innings and 106 runs. It was indeed a special triumph as this was a first Te🍷st win for Bangladesh in 15 months. They earlier lost six games on the trot.

Zimbabwe, who started their second innings trailing by 295, were bowled out for 189 on day four, with young spinner Nayeem Hasan claimed a five-wicket haul. He ended with the brilliant match figures of 9-152. The Chittagong-born took four wickets in the f🌸irst innings. Another spinner Taijul Islam, ♚bagged four wickets in the second innings to support Nayeem.
Zimbabwe’s stand-in skipper Craig Ervine who slammed a hundred in the first innings, scored maximum 43 runs for the team before he got run-out. All-rounder Aimycen Maruma (41), and Sikandar Raza (37) did show some fight, but it wasn’t enough to prevent the innings loss.
Earlier, after folding up Zimbabwe on 265, the Tigers posted a humongous score of 560-6 (dec𝓡) in their first innings. Skipper Mominul Haque (132) smashed a hundred, while Mushfiqur♐ Rahim (203) slammed an unbeaten double century.
