ZIM vs SL: Sean Williams’ ton helps Zimbabwe to cross 400 against Sri Lanka in the second Test

After losing the opening test against Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe made a strong comeback in the second and last game of🎀 the two-ꦚmatch series.

Captain Sean Williams led from the front and smashed his career’s second Test century. Under his guidance, the host team reached a lusty total of 406.

After the early blows, middle-order ওbatsman Sikandar Raza and skipper Williams joined ha♔nds to take their team out of trouble. The duo added a 159-run stand.

Raza missed out to convert his well-made 72 into a triple-figure, however, Williams didn’t lose his concentration and scored a hundred.

When Zimbabwe reached 324, they lost their sixth wicket in the form of Williams (107). Sri Lanka had a chance to fold up the tail🦂 quickly, but they failed to do so as the bottom four batsmen added 82 runs.

Lasith Embuldeniya was the leading wicket-taker for Sri Lanka. The left-arm spinner scalped four wickets. Batting all-rounder Dhananjaya de Silv♑a showed some bowling skills in the contest and grabbed three important wickets. Medium-pacer Suranga Lakmal join✨ed the party as well by sending two Zimbabwean batsmen back into the pavilion.
