Howಌever, Monday turned out to be an off day for both Maxwell and his team as💃 Sydney Sixers ended their eight-match winning streak.
During the match, the Australian all-rounder faced a brutal beamer bowled by Sixers’ Ben Dwarshuis, which almost hit his head.
Maxwell tried to duck the beamer, but he fell on to the pitch; the ball clipped the inner edge of his bat and hit h♛im around his shoulder. He looked shell-shocked after that delivery. Dwarshuis, on the other hand, immediately proceeded to apologize to the batsman.

Earlier, the match was reduced to 14 overs per side due to rain and Sixers posted 143-4, thanks to Moises Henriques, who smashe🐲d 31-ball 72 runs and took his team to a commanding position.
In reply, Stars could only score 125-4 in 14 overs. Opener Marcus Stoinis did reach his fifty, but it wasn’t enough for the Stars to win the match.
Melbourne Stars will play their next game on Wednesday (Jan ไ22), whereas Sydney Sixers will lock horns with Brisbane Heat on Thursday (Jan 23).
