South African captain Faf du Plessis on Monday said that an incident involving him, England wicketkeeper Jos Buttler and fast bowler Stuart Broad was just one another case of him standing upꦕ to opponents.
Du Plessis appeared to bump into Buttler while exchanging few words with Broad on Day 4 of the fourth Test in Johannesburg, which England won by 191 runs.
The incident happened as Du Plessis and Rassie van der D♏ussen were frustrating the tourists with a 92-run partnership after the lunch break.
The England players were getting annoyed at Du Plessis’ habit of picking up the ball after playing a defensive shot.

“I think that’s part of my character, I’m always involved in a little bit of something somewhere in a game,” said Du Plessis after the end of series in which Buttler, Ben Stokes, Vernon Philander, and Kagiso Rabada received demerit points for verbal outbursts towards opponents or, in Stokes’ case, a spectator.
Moreover, the ICC punished South Africa after match referee Andy Pycroft found the hosts had been three overs short of th💃e required rate during the fourth Test, which gave England a 3-1 series win.
