Indian pacer Jasprit Bumra𝔍h is one of the most dangerous bowlers in the world currently, especially in the limited-overs format.
He is known for his unique action and abi✱lity to bowl pinpoint yorkerꦺs. However, it is not always the yorkers which give him wickets.
After India’s win in the 2nd T20I at Eden Park, New Zealand wicket-keeper batsman Tim Seifert revealed that Bumrah’s unusual variations are his strength.
Seifert said that he observed Bumrah bowli𒁃ng wider slower balls in the first T20I. This gives an idea about the variations which the speedster has in his arsenal.
“Normally, death bowlers get into straighter lines, plus yorkers and mix it with chest height. He kind of changes things a lot and is tougher to play,” the Blackcaps keeper said, as reported by PTI.
About the sec🍎ond T20I, Seifert added that the ball was holding more than usual, which madꦰe it difficult to bat.
“So, sometimes, as a batsman, you have to move away from the stumps and see if they bowl straight. I was backing myself to do something different instead of just standing there at the wicket,” he added.
India defeated New Zealand by seven wickets in the second game of the five-match series in Auckland to take a 2-0 lead. The third T20I will be played in Hamilton on Wednesday (January 29) before back-to-back matches 𝓰in Wellington and Mt Maunganui.
