IND vs AUS: Rohit Sharma does ‘fake fielding’ to fool Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith in Rajkot ODI

I𒅌ndia opener Rohit Sharma failed to score in the first ODI but got some decent runs in the second one at Rajkot.

The 32-year-old hit 42 from 44 balls as he helped India post🐲 a mammo𒈔th total of 340-6.

Rohit couldn’t complete his half-century but was the subject to a fake throw attempt by the Australian side. Later, he reciprocated that during Australia’s run chase.

Marnus Labuschagne flicked the ball over wicketkeeper KL Rahul’s head and Rohit acted like he had reached the ball and faked a throw.

Steve Smith and Labuschagne had to take a quick second and this could have led to a lot of confusion. No harm was done as the Aussie batsmen made it to the crease, but this wasn’t in the spirit of the game.

However, inꦏcidents like this from either side cꦅould cause problems later on when they meet in the T20 World Cup in Australia.
