Bangladesh becomes the third team to qualify for the semi-finals in the ongoing U19 World Cup after they thrashed Sout💟h Africa on their own soil by a massive margin of 104-runs at Senwes Park in Potchefstroom on Thursday.

Chasing a target of 262, the Proteas crumbled against left-arm spinner Rakibul Hasan who scalped five wickets for just 19 runs 💫in his 9.3 overs. The Bryce Parsons-led side could only reach 157.

After being asked to bat first, the ‘Tigers’ opener Tanzid Hasan played a marvelous inning of 80 runs. He was followed by Towhid Hridoy (51) and Shahadat Hussain (74), who helped their side post a competitive total of 261 in 50 overs.
For South Africa, only Luke Beauf🐓ort showed some fight and smashed the highest score (60 off 91 balls) for his team. No other batsman could even reach 50. The bottom five batsmen scored 14-run♛s combined.
Rakibul was rewarded with the ‘Player of the Match’ award for his outstanding bowling.
