The Indian cricket team has lost one of its special supporters, Mrs. Charulata Patel.ꦺ She was 87-year-old and passed away on January 13.
Popularly known as ‘Cricket Dadi,’ Charulata showcased her enthusiasm and passion towards cricket in the 2019 World Cup.
Charulata was first spotted in a match between India and Bangladesh at Edgbaston last year. She was seen cheering for the ‘Men in Blue’ with full energy. Her pictures of blowing air horn with tri-color painted on her face went viral.
After the match, both Virat Kohli and Rohi📖t Sharma met the superfan and took her blessings. The Indian skipper was so happy that he arranged tickets for Charulata and her family for the next game and even pinned a heartwarming note.
After her d🐷emise, cricketers, BCCI, ICC, and others paid tributes🔥 to the energetic fan.
