Pakistan is hosting a Test series after ten years on its soil, and Sri Lanka is their visitor. The fans, former cricketers, and journa♉lists are excited that the first Test🍸 of the series is taking place at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
However, in this excitement, a Pakistani journalist made a press conference blund✱er after stumps on day two.
The journalists mistook Sri Lanka wicket-keeper batsman Niros🎶han Dickwella as Dhananjaya de Silva and that too for twice. But Dickwella came with a brilliant response, which left everyone in splits.
The journalist began his first question by saying, “you played well…” to this Dickwella said, “I’m Dickwella actually. I’m not de Silva”. But the reporter probably did not pay attention to what Dickwella said as he made a mistake once again.
“You played well on this pitch and in these conditions. Are you thinking a hundred on this pitch?” the reporter asked.
“You mean me? I am Dickwella, not de Silva,” Dickwella replied with a laugh.
“I got out. I am already out in the pavilion. Maybe in the second innings.” added Dickwella.

The left-hand bats🐻man then showed his class in thanking Pakistan for their hospitality during the first Test in the country since a miꦡlitant attack in 2009.
“As everyone has said, no Pakistani has played a Test match in Pakistan, so that was a great opportunity for the Pakistan players. I’m really happy and proud to be here and be in this historic Test match,” Dickwella added further.

Got to give it to Dickwella for taking it lightly. Didn’t make the reporter feꦬel ﷽worse for what was clearly not his brightest moment!
