A tremendous century froꦑm Tom Blundell on Day 4 of the second Test went in vain as Australia won the match by 247 runs.
The Aussie off-spinner Nathan Lyon again showed his incredible bowling skills by▨ taking four wic𝔍kets.
Lyon, however, took everyone by surprise when he s𒉰ent Kiwi w🉐icket-keeper BJ Watling back into the pavilion.
It was the kind of dismissal that even caught the commentators’ attention, and they were quite impressed, especially the former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting.
In the 50th over of Blackcaps second innings, Lyon bowled a wide delivery outside off and it spun back i꧑n to♕wards the batsman.
Watling played a defensive shot, but the ball took the inside ܫedge and went straight into the hands of David Warner, positioned at leg-sl🔜ip.
“I’m not sure I’ve seen that. Inside edge back through the gate to leg slip – normally you see those ones played off the back foot, inside edge off the thigh pad to leg slip. But not like that,” said Ponting.
The offic🧸ial Twitter handle of Cricket Australia posted the video of the epic dismissal.
“Bet you’ve never seen a dismissal like that! #AUSvNZ, “tweeted Cricket Australia
