A treme🐈ndous century from Tom Blundell on Day 4 of the second Test went in vain as Australia won the match by 247 runs.
The Aussie off-spinner Nathan Lyon again showed his incredible bowling s🍬kills by taking four wickets.
Lyon, however, took everyone by surprise when he sent Kiwi ꦕwicket-keeper BJ Watling back into the pavilion.
It was the kind of dismissal that even caught the commentators’ attention, and they were quite impressed, especially the former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting.
In the 50th over of Blackcaps second innings, Lyon bowled a wide delivery outside off and it spun back in 🎐towards the batsman.
Watling played a defensive s🍸hot, but the ball took the inside edge and went straight into the hands of David W𒁃arner, positioned at leg-slip.
“I’m not sure I’ve seen that. Inside edge back through the gate to leg slip – normally you see those ones played off the back foot, inside edge off the thigh pad to leg slip. But not like that,” said Ponting.
The official Twitter handle of Cricket Australia🐭 posted the vi🐻deo of the epic dismissal.
“Bet you’ve never seen a dismissal like that! #AUSvNZ, “tweeted Cricket Australia
