Melbourne Stars lost the thrilling encounter against Adelaide Strikers at the Carrara Oval on Friday. But their skipper Glenn Maxwell appalled the Strikers supporters with an entertaining knock in the Big Bash League (BBL) 09 game.
The explosive middle-order batsman smashed a 25-ball 43 before his dismissal triggered Stars’ downfall in their run-chase.
Though Maxi played some outrageous strokes, the best of the lot came when he hammered Wes Agar for a phenomenal s🍰ix. The incident happened in the 16th over of the second innings when Agar bowled a full delivery to Maxwell, but the right-hander got behind the ball, on his knees, to smash it towards the deep-point region for a maximum.

In spite of his heroics, Melbourne Stars fell short of their 175-run target by just five runs. Their defeat to Adelaide Stri♉kers was also their first in the ongoing BBL.
