Rohit Sharma was left frustrated with teammate Rishabh Pant during a particularly nerve-wracking passage of play in the second ODI between India and West Indies in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday.
Rohit was very angry after 22-year-old Pant threw the ball to the non-striker’s end, instead of his end.
It all happened in the 33rd over of the second innings bowled by Kuldeep Yadav. India got a golden chance to run-out Jason Holder, who formed a decent partnership with opener Shai Hope. However, the Indian wicketkeepeꦦr messed up the opportunity by throwing the ball back to the bowler instead of thr🔯owing it to Rohit.
And after missing 🎀the opportunity, the Indian vice-captain used some cuss words towards Rishabh in the heat of the moment, which got caught on the stump mic.
“Are idhar de na..wo..bhe*ch** aadhe raste pe hai yaar,” Rohit was heard saying to Pant.
However, that missed chance did not cost India much as Kuldeep picked up a hat-trick against the Windies in the last three delivers of the 33rd over.
India eventually won the Vizag ODI by 107 runs. The🧜 third and final match of the ODI series will be played in Cuttack on Sunday (December 22).
